DUBAI: Emirates, the largest international airline, is bringing back its flagship airline the A380 to Narita International Airport from Nov. 15 to cater to pent-up demand for travel following the lifting of Japan’s air travel restrictions.

With the scrapping of daily arrival caps, the removal of COVID-19 testing and quarantine protocols along with the announcement of visa exemptions for travel from over 60 countries, Emirates has seen a rising demand for flight bookings to the Japanese gateways of Narita and Osaka.

By upgrading capacity during this season of heightened demand for the Emirates A380 on flights EK318/319, the airline aims to continue serving the Japanese tourism and travel sector, which it has supported for the last 20 years of its partnership. On this landmark year of Emirates in Japan, being the first airline to establish connectivity between Japan and the Gulf nations in October 2002, we remain committed to accompanying the country’s best interests as it reopens.

The reintroduction of the Emirates A380 carries with it greater choice and flexibility for travel in Tokyo Narita which it currently serves with 7 weekly flights. Communicating onboard is hassle-free with Japanese-speaking crew onboard each flight, who exemplify excellent service and represent the culture and hospitality traditions of Japan, making Emirates the choice airline for both outbound and inbound travel.

The Emirates A380 experience remains highly sought after by travelers for its spacious and comfortable cabins as well as and signature products that offer travelers the best experiences in the sky like the Onboard Lounge, First Class suites, Shower Spa and an award-winning inflight entertainment system that includes more than 5,000 channels of on-demand entertainment. The airline has been gradually accelerating the deployment of its flagship A380 aircraft in line with the growing demand for air travel. Currently, Emirates’ Superjumbo is deployed to over 30 global destinations with more routes to be announced soon.

Emirates reinstated its service in Japan on Oct. 15 with the resumption of Emirates SkyCargo flights which ensured the country’s continued participation in trade and operations worldwide.
