PARIS: The former CEO of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Motors alliance plans to sue French company Renault before the labor court for pension payments, the French newspaper Le Figaro reported Monday.
In an interview with the newspaper, Ghosn said: "I claim my retirement rights and all the other rights that I have."
"My resignation from Renault? It was a farce," added Ghosn, who submitted his resignation in a letter he sent from his detention center in Japan last year.
Ghosn escaped from Japan for his homeland, Lebanon, in late December last year.
He had been released on bail after being accused of committing financial irregularities while he was CEO of Nissan. Ghosn has denied any wrongdoing, saying he has fled from "injustice" in Japan.
Interpol issued a red arrest warrant for Ghosn at the request of Japan.
