Sharjah women’s karate team has finished training for the Arab Women Sports Tournament in an intensive camp in Tunisia that lasted for 10 days.

The team trained with the Tunisian national team and participated in a variety of friendly matches with some of the most prominent Tunisian karate champions.

The camp included five karate players, Hawraa Al-Ajmi, Fatima Khasif, Sarah Al-Amri, Al-Yazia Khaled, and Khawla Al-Ansari, who were accompanied by Tunisian coach Hala Al-Budi.

Al-Budi said the camp was successful and considered it a major step in the team’s preparation for the tournament, sharing that the team returned to daily training upon returning to Sharjah.

The team will participate in two major tournaments, one in Greece and one in France, before competing in the Arab Women Sports Tournament, organized by Sharjah Women’s Sports, from Feb 2 to 12.
