If you’re in the mood for some fusion ramen, sushi, salad or soup inspired by Japan’s flavors, try Sushi Library.

You might choose the crispy torched salmon for SR59 ($15), which is presented on a long white plate, sliced like sushi. It is a delightful medley of flavors and textures; it had avocado slices embedded within, and flaky crispy goodness sprinkled on top.

You can also ask for “real” sushi options. You can check their chicken fried rice for SR34, which contains a generous portion of sushi rice with pieces of chicken buried within and tiny bits of vegetables such as carrots and onion throughout, glistening like tiny jewels.

You will surely enjoy their tempura wasabi — like a breaded lollipop made of prawn — it is caked in homemade wasabi mayo, which makes for a crispy and spicy breaded delight. Three pieces cost SR44.

They also have a variety of sushi bento boxes, which provides you with a range of choices in one go.

However, if your child is not ready for sushi, a Kids Sushi Nuggets is available, which has homemade breaded chicken and other goodies — certainly a healthier option than a fast-food joint.

For drinks, they have plenty of fruity sweet drinks. You may try their orange passion fruit drink; it had the right balance of tangy to sweet.

You may go for the sushi that is prepared like a California roll with kunafa bits — as a fun fusion of East Asia and the Middle East. The establishment also offers different fun seasonal specials, so check their social media feed for any updates or special deals before dining in.

The Sushi Library has five locations in various malls within Riyadh and one branch in Dammam, as well as many locations in neighboring UAE and Qatar. Each branch can also send your order to your door via the usual local delivery apps.
