DUBAI: Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) will collaborate with Osaka professor Hiroshi Ishiguro to launch a research base for the Moonshot program. 

The JST is a Japanese government agency formed in 2003. It builds an infrastructure that supports knowledge creation and dissemination in Japan.

Launching at Dubai’s Museum of the Future, the program supports innovative ideas to prepare for digital futures that will allow societies to conduct activities virtually by 2050. 

The launching ceremony was held on 23 Nov. 2023 and was attended by the Consul General of Japan in Dubai, IMANISHI Jun. 

The moonshot research and development (R&D) base will start joint research with Dubai Future Lab, advanced research lab established by Dubai Future Foundation, which will lead the development of technology cooperation between Japan and Dubai.
