The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) showcased its “Japan Street” online B2B platform, featuring over 500 works, including video, animation, and games. Designed to connect Japanese creators with global buyers, the platform’s interpretation service facilitated smooth interactions. JETRO Dubai received a Certificate of Appreciation for its efforts in promoting Japanese content in the Middle East.

JETRO’s Executive Director Yumiko Yoshimura announced upcoming B2B events for Japanese content and significant participation in Dubai’s Arab Health and Gulfood 2025 exhibitions. These events aim to strengthen Japan-UAE collaborations in healthcare and food industries.

“One standout feature of this platform is the interpretation service, which helps facilitate smooth communication between Japanese content creators and international buyers. The platform has already attracted multiple inquiries from potential buyers in the Middle East, reflecting the growing global interest in Japanese-originated content,” Yoshimura said.

“By showcasing Japan Street at DICM, JETRO aims to help Japanese companies discover new partners in the Middle East, thereby broadening their reach and collaboration opportunities in this market. Buyers who want to purchase Japanese content can register with Japan Street to connect with the IP holders of each Japanese contents. The JETRO Dubai office will continue to combine in-person events with online meetings to promote Japanese content in the region and facilitate new licensing partnerships.”

The 8th DICM will return in November 2025 at Madinat Jumeirah.
