DUBAI: A lovely red flowers painting workshop was organized by Japanese-Pakistani painter Nadia Yoshioka in Dubai on Jan. 11, where participants created their own red flowers painting masterpieces.

Taking place at the Radisson Red Dubai Silicon City, the artist told Arab News Japan that participants received step-by-step guidance throughout the session in order to create their masterpieces.

“The red flowers were enhanced with gold leaf and glitter elements, which participants could place anywhere on their artwork for a personal, creative touch. This added a sense of freedom and individuality to each piece. The workshop was held outdoors, making the most of the winter weather, with fresh air, greenery, and music in the background creating the perfect vibe for a relaxing and enjoyable painting session,” she said.

About the challenges in organizing the workshop, Yoshioka said: “The main challenge was encouraging early sign-ups, as many people tend to register last minute, making planning slightly unpredictable. Additionally, creating a seamless outdoor setup that ensured comfort while maintaining a professional and artistic ambiance required extra effort. Balancing structure with creative freedom was also a challenge, but it paid off as participants felt both supported and inspired.”

Additionally, the Japanese artist shared that the feedback regarding the workshop was extremely positive. “Participants especially loved the gold leaf and glitter, which allowed them to customize their artwork in unique ways. They appreciated the encouragement and advice I provided throughout the session, which gave them confidence to experiment and enjoy the process. One participant, who had never painted before, was amazed by her final piece and proudly took it home with the easel to display. The atmosphere of the workshop, with its outdoor setting and calming music, also received high praise for making the experience feel even more special.”

Yoshioka is planning another session on Jan. 25, where participants will be able to choose from three design options: red flowers, colorful beach art, or Sumi-e Japanese art.

“My goal is to continue hosting creative events that bring people together in a relaxing and inspiring environment. I’m also offering private art classes, which provide tailored guidance for individuals of all skill levels,” she shared.
