DUBAI: On March 3, Miyazaki prefecture hosted an exclusive reception at a prestigious restaurant in Doha, inviting approximately 70 local buyers and representatives from the food and beverage industry to experience the exceptional quality of Miyazaki beef, taking a big step towards expanding in the region.
The event highlighted the unique characteristics of Miyazaki beef, along with a cutting demonstration by National Meat School of Japan instructor Samata. This demonstration introduced Qatari chefs to alternative cutting techniques for parts such as the chuck roll, which are not commonly utilized in the region.
“I hope that the introduction of Miyazaki beef to Qatar will further enhance economic and cultural exchanges between our two countries,” said HISAJIMA Naoto, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Qatar, who attended the event.
The event was successful as attendees showcased great enthusiasm for the premium Japanese beef and its potential in the market and expressed their love for the food. The exquisite flavor and versatility of Miyazaki beef left a lasting impression on local culinary professionals.
“There is a definite demand for this level of quality. If a stable supply chain can be established, we expect to see Miyazaki beef featured in high-end restaurants and luxury hotels across Qatar,” one buyer commented.
Looking ahead, Miyazaki Prefecture aims to leverage this highly successful event as a foundation for expanding its presence in the halal market. By strengthening partnerships with local culinary professionals and food distributors, the prefecture is committed to enhancing awareness and accessibility of Miyazaki beef in Qatar and the Middle East.
