DUBAI: The Japanese Ambassador to the UAE, OKANIWA Ken, and the Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, MORINO Yasunari, sent congratulatory messages on social media for Eid Al-Fitr on Sunday.
Eid Al-Fitr began on Sunday after an announcement from the Supreme Court on Saturday. It marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In an Instagram video, Ambassador Okaniwa shared that this is his first Ramadan and Eid in the UAE. “I was touched by the very warm hospitality of the people,” he said.

“I wish everyone Eid Al-Fitr filled with peace, happiness, and prosperity,” he continued.
Moreover, Ambassador Morino shared a video congratulating Muslims in Arabic where he highlighted that Eid Al-Fitr and Japan’s Sakura this year occur simultaneously. He also shared that he hopes many people from Saudi Arabia will visit Japan during Expo Osaka 2025, which will kick off next month.
