DUBAI: Japan’s Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio held a meeting with Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN on Friday to discuss the ongoing situation in Gaza.

The meeting was held in Dubai, as both leaders are currently attending COP28 “United Nations World Climate Action Summit.”

Kishida welcomed the pause in fighting, the release of hostages, and the increased delivery of humanitarian aid. He shared that all parties must comply with international law and that all possible measures need to be taken in order to prevent damage to civilians, while Erdoğan expressed his concern over the current humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and stressed the importance of maintaining a pause.

The two leaders confirmed that they will keep working together and develop their bilateral relations in various areas ahead of next year’s centennial anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
