TOKYO: Casio Computer Co., Ltd., on Wednesday announced the upcoming release of two new limited-edition color models of the PX-S1100 digital piano, part of its Privia line, which, Casio says, “strives to create products that are in harmony with people’s lifestyle.”

The new limited-edition colors are “Calm Blue” and “Mellow Beige.”

The “CALM & MELLOW” concept was born from interviews conducted with Privia users around the world, many of whom described using their piano not just for practice, but as a source of relaxation and achieving a sense of peace.

The new color models aim to encourage playing the piano as “a soothing, peaceful habit that can be part of everyday life.”

Casio says the Privia digital piano line “makes it easier than ever to experience the joy of having a piano as part of daily living. Privia challenges conventional expectations of what a piano should be.”

It features a slim design capable of producing a quality of sound that can express everything from delicate nuance to bold resonance. The new models, Casio says, have been developed to help promote a new lifestyle concept, which is to make the piano “a part of a tranquil and mindful daily life.”
