The “Super Nintendo World” area in Comcast’s Osaka-based theme park Universal Studios Japan has been revealed through images that surfaced online, providing the public with a glimpse of the upcoming Mario-themed attraction.

The early footage shows that the attraction has been constructed to mimic the inside of a Super Mario game, housing many re-created, life-sized versions of familiar game locations, including the Bowser’s Fortress, Mushroom Kingdom and Peach’s Castle.

In addition to the classic Nintendo game locations, the park has figurines of ionic Mario characters such as, Koopa Troopas, Goombas, Piranha Plant, Yoshi, green warp pipes and a slew of coin boxes.

Despite the progressions in the construction of the theme park seen through the leaked images, the Super Nintendo World, which had been due to open this summer, have been pushed back into next year due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.
