Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Café is introducing a new addition to their dessert selection, one that reworks the well-liked Japanese pudding, Purin, into Frappe form.
The Caramel Pika Pika Frappe is made using caramel sauce, whipped cream, chocolate chips and most importantly Purin.
This drink option will be on sale for a limited time, from Dec. 5 to Jan. 15, and will be sold for 700-yen ($6.65)
Purin is a popular Japanese pudding, and although the name directly translates to mean “pudding,” the dessert has a flavour like crème caramel, but firmer in texture.
Purin is made using milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla essence, and is served with caramel sauce.
The Caramel Pika Pika Frappe is also dressed up, like most of Pikachu Sweet’s drink options, with Pikachu themed drink sleeves.
Pikachu Sweets has a range of whimsical options ranging from flavoured drinks, as well as character drink sleeves, and their newest line intends to celebrate the latest, Pokémon the Movie: Coco in Japan, that will release during the Christmas season.
Most recently, Pikachu Sweets created a line of pink and green sleeves promoting Pokémon’s star character, Pikachu.
Pikachu Sweets also sells coffee sleeves featuring Pikachu or Eevee’s face, or other options featuring the characters in full.
