  • Myazu Japanese Restaurant is a new Saudi brand with a unique traditional Japanese nature. The restaurant has launched its first branch in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

A few years back, Japanese food was not as popular in the Middle East as it is now. The spread scope of the Japanese culture was not similar to the one it enjoys now in the Arab world.

In Saudi Arabia in particular, Saudis are enjoying a newfound appreciation for the Asian cuisine.

It is not surprising that a new brand, Myazu, has been created especially with the needs of the Saudis in mind, who are highly mobile and discerning.

Myazu is inspired by the ‘Land of Plenty’ and is based on fine ingredients, intuitive service, a vibrant ambiance and exquisite attention to detail.

Another location is set to open in Jeddah early this year, after which the team aspires to open Myazu venues in most cities in the Middle East, and then to expand worldwide in famous cities such as Dubai, London, Geneva and Monte Carlo.

Myazu is one of the best-designed Japanese restaurants in the region. The food it provides is fresh, which is why the restaurant does not have a delivery service to ensure serving fresh, healthy and safe dishes in Saudi Arabia’s hot weather all year long.

Nearly 120 employees work in Myazu in order to run a high-efficiency restaurant with a large client base and major orders’ operations.

Myazu’s capacity is up to 346 clients at a time. The restaurant receives 900 clients in busy days, and sometimes the number reaches one thousand clients.

The Japanese restaurant receives 250-350 clients for lunch mid-week, and recently, it received 575 clients for dinner in one day.

Among the restaurant’s best seller dishes are popcorn, creamy spicy sauce shrimps and nori rice avocado.

Myazu cares a lot about the quality of the service. It does not want the clients to have a normal meal, but wants them to remember this experience and have it linger in their minds.

Immediately upon entry diners will be drawn into the world of Myazu, quickly absorbed into a beautiful, bustling space full of life and seeped in stories from Japan.

The rich blue and gold colour scheme yields a plethora of chic details that enhance a feeling of subtle glamour. The venue features both restaurant and lounge seating, with an animated open kitchen area housing a robata grill and sushi counter with wrap-around counter seating.

A compelling feature of the restaurant is Myazu Arts, the entertainment hub of the venue that houses the cocktail bar, DJ counter and acts as an intimate VIP area for high profile guests and private gatherings.

Diners in Myazu Arts will also be able to choose from a selection of special dishes, unique to the space, as well as enjoy an exuberant selection of theatrical signature cocktails.

Myazu Arts’ design was inspired by the culture of Kyoto, known as the soul of Japan and it is renowned for its ancient tradition over the ages since the Edo period.

Its green interior creates a sense of cosiness and a relaxing atmosphere as green is the colour of nature. Also, green matches the colour of the Saudi flag.

The Japanese cuisine restaurant hires a staff from different countries such as the UK, Italy, North Africa, Philippine and India.

Moreover, Myazu serves all types of fresh fish. For example, tuna is imported from Japan while salmon is imported from Norway and the other types of fish are imported from countries famous for their finest and high-quality fish.

The brand’s logo is inspired by ocean waves and mountains, ocean waves hitting the iconic Japanese Mount Fuji.

The logo’s design is more like an energy formed through the union of the waves and the ocean.

Myazu does not replicate other restaurants’ experiences, but it comes up with new methods to ensure clients’ satisfaction.

People in Saudi Arabia like to enjoy the quality of food and service provided by the restaurant’s staff, and in turn, the restaurant is keen to make the clients enjoy a unique experience when they visit it.
