Japan’s bookstore Daikanyama T-Site doubles as a workspace following the launch of the Share Lounge designed to look and feel like a café, equipped with all the necessities needed to keep visitors comfortable and focused.
The space is lined with wooden desks placed along the large glass windows, as well as coffee tables to facilitate more social meetings. Those hoping to use the facility can opt to pay ¥6,600, ($57.79) for a day ticket or can purchase a package to gain access to five day passes.
Power outlets to charge devices are within reach of every desk, drinks and food are also carefully spread out on the bar including pastries, fruits, and beverages like coffee, tea and juices to keep visitors energized while working.
The décor at the workspace is also decorated with books and literature in mind, and visitors are free to pick up any of the 3,500 books placed on the shelves reiterating that this is a “a place where ideas are born and shared,” according to the official website.
There are other perks including the option to book a private room for meetings priced at ¥7,425, those who wish to enter for a shorter period can also choose to pay hourly.
The space is not only open to day visitors, but the Share Lounge can also be used as an event space that holds up to 100 people.
