ZamZam Distribution, the leading distributor of video games in the MENA region opened it’s very first retail outlet called Z Games in The Dubai Mall, featuring video games made by Japanese developers Square Enix, Capcom, Konami, and Bandai Namco.

The opening ceremony was attended by Muhammad Iqbal, CEO of ZamZam Distribution, Robert Fisser, General Manager of PlayStation Middle East and members of the gaming community, as well as press.

“Our vision is to provide a unique experience for people especially gamers who are looking for their favorite games in a very efficient and special way, and here at Z Games we are featuring games based on categories (i.e. Action, Adventure, RPG, Sports, etc…) cause many retailers don’t have that or they are displaying small sections for video games,” Iqbal told Arab News Japan.

“Some gamers want to get physical copies of their favorite games for their collection, that’s why we are trying our best to get as much games displayed in our store for people to see and get them for good prices, cause the digital market for games is growing rapidly these days, but some games are being removed from the digital stores after some time and that’s what make gamers eager to get physical copies of these games to keep them,” he said.

Iqbal shared how the aim is to make games and gaming accessories easily obtainable in the Middle East, and they plan to open 25 stores in the region including the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

“The Z Games growth trajectory is in-line with our vision which is to play an active role in the development and expansion of the Middle East gaming industry. We hope that our consumers and partners will support us in this journey and together we can achieve our vision,” he added.

Z Games is a gaming specialist store that aims to promote interactive gaming and support the gaming industry in the Middle East. Apart from new and old games, the store will also sell gaming accessories from leading brands, gaming hardware and consoles as well as action figures and memorabilia.
