Curtain comes down on Saudi Anime Expo

RIYADH: The curtain came down on the second Saudi Anime Expo in Saudi Arabia, and the first since 2019, on Saturday.

IWAI Fumio, Ambassador of Japan to Saudi Arabia; Faisal Bafarat, CEO of the General Entertainment Authority; Dr. Essam Bukhary, Editor-in-Chief of Manga Arabia; Yasuhiro Kamimura, CEO of Groundworks; Takanori Asada, Shueisha Inc. General Manager; and Shoichiro Ishiwatari, Senior Producer of Dentsu Inc. were in attendance.

Over the three days the Saudi Anime Expo provided an opportunity to immerse oneself deep in the world of anime, with over 30 booths featuring the best and most popular anime characters.

It was a place that allowed you to fully enjoy the atmosphere of your favorite characters and anime.

At the venue, there was a specially designed cinema hall where visitors could enjoy films and Japanese restaurants.

At the cinema hall, each day featured live showings of the latest anime films. You could also find live shows from famous people in the anime industry, concerts, talk shows and discussions with anime producers and voice actors and actresses, and a variety of cosplay events and contests.
