DUBAI: With spirits flying high as the FIFA World Cup is coming to a close, a junior friendly football match took place in Dubai on Thursday between Japan and the UAE.

The Emirati kids team played against the Japanese kids team, which lost, but their energy remained high. It is the first time the Japanese junior team played against the UAE juniors.

The Asian team also witnessed how local UAE kids prayed during the match’s break due to it being prayer time.

The game also comes during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the UAE.
