DUBAI: Japan will soon announce the final removal of COVID-19 restrictive protocols; however, one direct precaution will remain in place this year.

As Japan entered the pandemic in 2020 precautions and rules started to be announced by the government, like all other countries, to aid in the control and possible avoidance of major potential damage.

However, one additional restriction was exclusive to the Japanese government; the regulation that places that involve loud cheering; i.e, stadiums, theme parks, keep cheering and expressiveness using loud voices to a minimal to help prevent the spread of the virus.

The government took this seriously and fined one of the most famous Japanese football teams 20 million yen for failing to sufficiently discourage fans from loud cheering.

With the world on route to exit the pandemic it looks like the government is willing to ease restrictions and potentially the complete removal of the period of ‘silent support.’

News organization Kyodo, cited multiple unnamed parties, announcing that the government is ready to lift regulations regarding attendance and cheering caps.

The government will still recommend such safety measures, but it will not punishable by law.
