RIYADH: East of KAFD in Riyadh, the Ramadan Season hosted by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Culture has a luxurious Ramadan tent set up. Inside, top chefs provide gourmet food from all around the world in the form of a buffet. With a wide variety of luxurious iftar to pick and choose from.

It’s also all over Riyadh, Jeddah, and Mecca. As the sun sets, many people gather with family and friends to go inside the beautifully decorated tent. The meal that breaks the fast is called Iftar. Many Muslims have a habit of eating dates with water or Arabic coffee when they break their fast.

Dates are high with nutritious and have an effect on the stomach, iftar is started with these dates after a long fast.

Many people probably learned “breakfast” as “breakfast” at school. However, the reason why it’s called “breakfast “is because it means “first meal of the day after fasting’’ or ‘’breaking the fast.’’

Iftar is not the only thing Muslims eat during Ramadan. There are meals to break the fast, and meals to break into the fast. This is a meal called Suhoor.

Ramadan season tents have iftar and suhoor. Iftar hours in the tent are from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Suhoor is from 8pm to 3am.

There are also many food stalls outside the tents, an authentic Bedouin handicraft corner called Sadu, and a padel court, a sport that is currently popular in Saudi Arabia. Padel is said to be a sport that combines tennis and squash.
