Eighth Japanese Speech contest in the UAE cancelled

The Embassy of Japan in the United Arab Emirates has decided to cancel the eighth Japanese Speech Contest that was supposed to take place on  March 14, a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

“The health and safety if the participants and audience come among out top priorities,” the event organizers said in a statement.

The annual contest is expected to be held in March next year.
