Seoul/Tokyo: North Korea fired a ballistic missile toward the Sea of Japan on Wednesday, South Korea’s military said.
Japan’s Defense Ministry also said what may be a ballistic missile was fired from North Korea the same day.
The missile is believed to have already fallen.
The Japan Coast Guard later said another apparent ballistic missile was launched from North Korea.
It was the first time for North Korea to fire a ballistic missile since Aug. 30, when the country launched two short-range ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan.
