TOKYO: Japanese Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko on Wednesday urged that Azerbaijan halt what it claims to be antiterrorism operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, the center of its dispute with Armenia.
“Japan expresses serious concern over the recent worsening of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and strongly calls for the immediate cessation of hostilities and for Azerbaijan to stop current military activities,” Kamikawa said in a statement.
“Japan calls on all parties to resolve issues surrounding this region peacefully through dialogue,” she added.
