
DUBAI: The Embassy of Japan in Syria condemned the drone attack which killed over 110 people in the city of Homs on Thursday.
In a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, the embassy said that attacks against innocent civilians were “unacceptable.”
The embassy also offered their condolences to the wounded in the attacks and their bereaved families.
We are deeply shocked and saddened by the drone attack in Homs, which reportedly caused many dozens of casualties, including civilians and children too. Attacks against innocent civilians are unacceptable for any reason.

“We are also concerned by reports of escalating shelling and rocket fire into Idlib in the aftermath of the attack in Homs,” they added.
The embassy called on all sides to exercise restraint to avoid further escalation and deterioration of the humanitarian crisis.
