TOKYO: Japanese Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko on Monday received a visit by members of three families of Israeli “hostages” who were kidnapped by Hamas.
The family members were accompanied by Israeli Ambassador to Japan Gilad Cohen.
The family members explained what took place on the day of the attack and requested cooperation from Japan and assistance toward the early release of the relatives and “a world that is free of terrorism,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
Foreign Minister Kamikawa expressed her gratitude for sharing their stories under such difficult circumstances and stated that she would “persistently continue diplomatic efforts toward the earliest possible return of the hostages” and work for a reduction of tensions in the area.
