TOKYO: Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio said on Wednesday he agreed with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol to deepen cooperation between the two East Asian countries as well as between Tokyo, Washington and Seoul.

Kishida made the comment following a phone call with Yoon.

Kishida and U.S. President Joe Biden held talks last week and agreed, among other things, on tighter three-way cooperation between Japan, the United States and Seoul Korea as North Korea carries on with its nuclear and missile development.
