TOKYO: Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio will visit the earthquake-hit Noto Peninsula in central Japan on Monday, a government official has said.
Also on Monday, the government plans to set up a task force for “creative” reconstruction of the region to mark a half year since the Jan. 1 quake. The team will send central government staff to disaster-affected areas for long-term deployment.
This will be Kishida’s third trip to such areas and the first since Feb. 24. He will show his resolution to make his best efforts for the restoration and revival of disaster-hit areas.
