All four Japanese nationals aboard the coronavirus-stricken Grand Princess cruise ship, now moored off California, are in good shape, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Monday.

The three passengers and a crew member "are not among those who have tested positive for the COVID-19 new coronavirus at the moment, and we have confirmed that none of them has a health problem," the top Japanese government spokesman told a press conference.

The cruise ship is set to enter the Port of Oakland in the U.S. state on Monday. "The government will continue to consider ways for the Japanese nationals' return home while taking into account their wishes and a policy of the U.S. government," Suga said.
