
TOKYO: Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio and Swiss President Viola Amherd agreed Wednesday that the two countries will cooperate for the reconstruction of Ukraine, including the removal of land mines.
At a meeting at the prime minister’s office in Tokyo, Kishida said that Japan wants to collaborate with Switzerland to reinforce the free and open international order based on the rule of law.
Amherd said that Switzerland will strengthen cooperation with Japan, whose values it shares.
The two leaders also agreed to coordinate closely to address North Korea’s abductions and tensions in the Middle East.
