TOKYO: Jordan’s new government, led by Jaafar Hassan, appointed Lina Annab minister of tourism and antiquities. Annab has been serving as Jordan’s ambassador to Japan since 19 June 2019. She is a graduate of Georgetown University in the United States.
Annab’s new role as the minister of tourism and antiquities in Jordan’s new government comes with its own set of challenges and opportunities. Before coming to Japan, Annab served as minister of tourism and antiquities in the second government of Hani Mulki since June 2016. She also retained her portfolio in the government of Omar Razzaz in 2018.
During her tenure as the ambassador of the Kingdom of Jordan to Tokyo, Anab actively participated in numerous official, political, and cultural events. Her involvement significantly contributed to the strengthening of bilateral relations, fostering a sense of optimism for the future.
