The Director of Research at the Asian Study Research Institute of Nanjing University in China said that a vaccine for the coronavirus would be ready in September.
 
Minjie Lin made the announcement to about 50 people at a symposium and thanked Japan for the help it has provided to China in dealing with the epidemic.
 
Lin specifically thanked former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama and expressed gratitude for Japan’s help with delivering masks in Wuhan Province, the center of the Chinese outbreak.
 
The symposium was organized by a number of groups, including the International Association of Asian Communities, the Belt and Road Japan Research Center and the Asian Institute of Graduate Studies.
