TOKYO: Public support for Japanese Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru’s cabinet in December dipped 1.9 percentage points from the previous month to 26.8 percent, a Jiji Press opinion poll showed Thursday.

The disapproval rate for the cabinet came to 41.3 percent, up 3.0 points.

The interview survey was conducted over four days through Monday, covering 2,000 people aged 18 or over. Valid responses came from 57.6 percent.
