

Japanese Foreign Minister IWAYA Takeshi and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi agreed on the importance of maintaining the Gaza ceasefire.
In a meeting held during their visit to Germany’s Munich Security Conference on Saturday, the two officials discussed the urgent humanitarian aid that the Gaza Strip requires.
Iwaya also expressed Japan’s willingness to work closely with Jordan on the establishment of a two-state solution and long-term regional peace and stability.
Minister Safadi explained the latest situation on the ground as well as Jordan’s diplomatic efforts.
He added that it is important to cooperate with Japan and thanked the Asian country for its support in the field of economic reforms and refugee support.
The ministers affirmed the importance of trust between the two nations and confirmed that they will continue working together.
