Ishiba Cabinet’s approval rating rises to 33.3 percent, up 2.7 points

TOKYO: A poll by Japan News Network shows that the approval rating of the Cabinet of Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru has risen 2.7 points from the previous month’s survey to 33.3 percent. The disapproval rating fell 4.0 points from the previous month’s survey to 62.1 percent.

However, the Ruling Liberal-Democratic Party’s approval rating fell 0.4 points from the previous month’s survey to 23.5 percent, while the opposition Constitutional Democratic Party’s approval rating fell even further by 2.8 percentage points to 5.6 percent.

The Japan Restoration Party managed to buck the trend with arise of 1.4 points to 4.3 percent, but the Democratic Party for the People’s approval rating dropped 0.5 points to 10.2 percent.

The survey was conducted on 2,737 men and women aged 18 and over across Japan and valid responses were obtained from 1,026 people, or 37.5 percent of the total.
