TOKYO: The Foreign Ministry in Tokyo is inviting applicants to organize events to commemorate the 60th anniversary this year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the State of Kuwait.
This is a landmark year for relations between the two countries and Japan is looking to further promote exchanges between the two countries with events in both countries. As such, the Foreign Ministry has drawn up guidelines for such events.
Any event to mark this anniversary should, the ministry says, “be aimed at deepening mutual understanding and promoting friendship between Japan and the State of Kuwait, for example in areas such as culture, arts, sports, education, tourism or science.”
The event should not advocate any particular belief, political ideology or religion, or be for profit.
Applicants should apply via e-mail to the Second Middle East Division, Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for events to be held in Japan, or the Embassy of Japan in the State of Kuwait.
