TOKYO: Japan and Germany will hold their first two-plus-two meeting of foreign and defense ministers, by videoconference, on Tuesday, the Japanese government said Monday.
The four ministers will discuss cooperation for realizing a free and open Indo-Pacific and bilateral security and defense collaboration.
They are also set to exchange views on the two countries’ responses to China’s growing assertiveness and North Korea’s nuclear and missile development, according to the government.
