TOKYO: Japan’s Prime Minister SUGA Yoshihide sent a congratulatory video message to Jordan on the “100th Anniversary Ceremony” that celebrates 100 years since the founding of the country.
In the video message, Suga said Japan and Jordan have had strong ties at all levels, including the traditional friendship between the royal family and the Japanese Imperial family. He also stated that both countries share basic values in the international community, such as the rule of law.
“Jordan is an important strategic partner for Japan in the Middle East, and we supports each other various issues including the fight against coronavirus. In terms of economy, an investment agreement came into effect last year, further strengthening bilateral relations,” Suga said.
