TOKYO: The official logo for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Kingdom of Bahrain has been selected from among 11 entries through consultations between the two governments.
Japan and Bahrain established diplomatic relations in 1972.
The logo will be used in the commemorative events to be held throughout the year in both countries.
The logo was created by Takao Iseki, who lives in Kyoto, Japan. It was designed to represent the long-lasting friendship between Japan and Bahrain.
The respective national flags are incorporated in each digit of “50” on the logo, along with an arc-shaped arrangement of “anniversary” symbolizing a bridge between Japan and Bahrain. It also includes the 400-year-old Tree of Life above the number 50, with its roots in the desert of Bahrain.
