The Imperial Household Agency said Wednesday that Princess Yoko, 38, who was found yesterday to have been infected with the coronavirus, has developed pneumonia and has been transferred to the University of Tokyo Hospital from a hospital inside the Imperial Palace. 

The agency said the princess state of infection is “moderate” and “with no respiratory failure.”

Princess Yoko lives alone and her infection rout is unknown, the agency said.
