TOKYO: Japan condemned “in the strongest possible terms” the series of terrorist attacks in Afghanistan that took place from April 19 to 22, including the attacks against educational facilities in Kabul and mosques in provincial cities.
“Attacks against innocent civilians are unacceptable for any reason. We express our heartfelt condolences to the victims and the bereaved families and pray for the swift recovery of those injured,” an official statement in Tokyo said.
As it stands strongly in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, the Japanese government also stressed it will continue to do its best toward peace and stability in Afghanistan in collaboration with the international community, including the countries in the region.
