WASHINGTON: The US government said Monday it has approved the sale of 150 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles and related equipment to Japan in a deal worth some 293 million dollars.
The missiles were manufactured by US aerospace and defense giant Raytheon Technologies Corp.
They are expected to be installed on cutting-edge F-35 stealth fighter jets, sources familiar with the matter said.
