TOKYO: A total of 31,247 people were confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus in Tokyo on Thursday, down by 4,092 from a week before, the metropolitan government of the Japanese capital said.
New fatalities linked to COVID-19 totaled 22, according to the Tokyo government.
The seven-day average of new infection cases in Tokyo fell 9.3 percent week on week to 29,648.4. The number of COVID-19 patients with severe symptoms under the capital’s criteria stood at 40, unchanged from Wednesday.
