
TOKYO: The Japanese arm of US technology giant Google LLC said Friday that it will invest 100 billion yen in Japanese network infrastructure through 2024.
The investments will include those for a data center set to open in the city of Inzai, Chiba Prefecture, near Tokyo, next spring.
Speaking to reporters after his meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, visiting Google CEO Sundar Pichai voiced hopes that his company and Japan will be long-time partners.
