Tokyo Governor Koike to attend COP 27 in Egypt

TOKYO: Tokyo Governor KOIKE Yuriko will travel to Egypt next month to attend COP 27 and visit Tokyo sister city Cairo.

The 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) will take place at Sharm El Sheikh on the Sinai Peninsula from Nov. 6 to 18.

Koike is expected to announce a program of environmental measures for Tokyo, including sustainable recovery.

She will visit both Cairo and Alexandria for meetings and an exchange of opinions with those involved.

Koike will depart from Tokyo on Nov. 5 and return on the 11th.
