TOKYO: Princess Astrid of Belgium paid a call on Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio on Monday as the two countries seek greater economic cooperation.
Kishida welcomed the visit to Japan of the Belgian Economic Mission led by Princess Astrid and expressed his hope that this visit would contribute to further strengthening economic ties between Japan and Belgium, noting that cooperation on offshore wind power, hydrogen, next-generation semiconductors and DX would be promoted during the Mission’s stay in Japan.
Princess Astrid expressed her wish to make her visit to Japan an opportunity to further develop relations between the two countries in the economic field.
Kishida and Princess Astrid said they shared the view that both states would continue to strengthen the relationship, including in matters of economic security, and as strategic partners that share fundamental values.
