TOKYO: Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, YAMADA Kenji, left Tokyo today, December 17, heading for Algeria and Morocco on a visit until the to 22nd.
In Algeria, celebrating the 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations with Japan this year, Yamada plans to hold talks with government officials to strengthen bilateral cooperation, including energy security, the foreign ministry in Tokyo said.
In Morocco, Yamada will also hold talks with government officials and others to strengthen bilateral ties in a wide range of fields, including the economy, and strengthen cooperation in responding to issues in the international arena, according to the ministry.
Yamada is expected to arrive in Algiers on December 18 and departs on the 19th for Casablanca, where he arrives on the same day. The ministry said Yamada will leave Casablanca on the 21st and arrive in Tokyo on the 22nd.
