TOKYO: Iran and Japan held consular consultations on Tuesday in Iran with a view to further revitalizing people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
ANDO Toshihide, Director General of the Consular Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented Japan, while the Iranian representative was Alireza Mahmoudi, Consulate General Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran.
The two sides exchanged views on various topics and confirmed that they would continue to cooperate closely in the consular field, the foreign ministry in Tokyo said.
The next meeting will be held in Tokyo.
