NOC’s Medical Committees reviews electronic medical testing

The Sports Medicine Committee of the National Olympic Committee discussed the e-form of medical tests and updates on forms for communication with technical staffs at clubs and the website.

The meeting, which was held at the NOC’s premises in Dubai on Friday, was chaired by Dr. Hashel Al Tinaijiin the presence of members Dr. Mohammed Al Suwaini from the Dubai Health Authority, Dr. Farhat Fadloon, Dr Murat Dalking, Dr Ramiz Ross and Kamel Abdullah, Rapporteur of the Committee.

The Committee reviewed suggestions received from staffs in the medical field several of which focused on holding courses in several specialties such as first aid and sports injuries. It also examined proposals for holding induction courses for various cadres to step up the knowledge of handing emerging cases of various sorts.

Members also reviewed letters received from hospitals regarding field visits, setting a date for a socialising session, and sharing knowledge with medical staffs. Suggestions also called for effective communication between medical specialties; which is always stressed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, President of the NOC, as it helps the dissemination of knowledge and scientific techniques that saves our athletes from injuries.

Attendees reviewed the endorsement of medical delegations for all sports events and called for instructors and doctors to hold period gatherings to explain malpractices before competitions and the need to know more about injuries before the intervention of paramedics.
