Al-Emadi told Arab News Japan he was thankful for the award and said it reflects the strength of ties between Qatar and Japan.

Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio presented Ambassador Al Emadi with the award “and greeted the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, wishing him good health and prosperity for Qatar and its people,” Al-Emadi said.

Emperor Naruhito also greeted Ambassador Al-Emadi and congratulated him on his honor.
During his impactful five-year tenure in Japan, former Ambassador Al Emadi was a dynamic force, actively working to enhance bilateral exchanges at the highest level. His efforts included three visits by the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to Japan and reciprocal visits by Prime Minister Kishida and other senior officials to Qatar.

These significant exchanges, which led to the signing of several bilateral agreements and increased trade between the two nations, greatly contributed to the strengthening of Qatar-Japan relations.
