Jordan provided Japan with medical assistance in response to the spread of COVID-19 and part of it arrived at Narita Airport on May 2.
The medical aid was sent as a result of confirming the close collaboration
in preventing the spread of COVID-19, which was discussed at the Japan-Jordan Foreign Minister’s and Summit telephone talk held recently.
The Government of Japan expressed the "deepest appreciation" for the Jordanian government's support, a statement by the foreign ministry in Tokyo said.
The assistance package included 10,000 units of protective gear and 10,000
protective goggles, expected to arrive in Japan by May 16.
A package of 300,000 face masks is also expected to be delivered at a later day, the ministry said.
